What does this premium function?
With this function, Livewatch enables you the possiblity to use own scripts to monitor your servers.
E.g. so it is even possible to monitor the reachability of your database. For example, you can provide your own script, which connects to your database and returns a simple "OK" when everything worked as expected. If something went wrong - this message would be something else.
At here the regex-monitoring starts to be interessting.
You would enter the url to the script into the "target url", which trys to connect to your database.
The regex-command would now be (relating to the sample mentioned above) "/OK/" (without quotation marks).
When your script returns "OK" when the database was connected as expected, a successfully monitoring was done.
If your database is no longer available, no "OK" would be returned and a Livewatch monitoring process results in notification-routines.
You get the notification by E-mail, SMS, phonecall and messenger.
When you create a new individual monitoring, you get a live output of that what the regex-command has been matched to.
