HTTP-Header

We explain "HTTP-Header" in short words...

Glossary HTTP-Header

HTTP-Header

Our glossary entry for HTTP-Header

In the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), in addition to the body, which contains the actual information (e.g. the HTML code), further instructions are sent in the so-called header. The instructions in the header are in the form of variables that must always be in one line, although several entries are allowed for the variable. The instructions are case-insensitive. With our Livewatch tool determine HTTP headers, you have the option of displaying exactly this header information.

What means HTTP-Header in conjuction with server monitoring?

HTTP-Header in conjunction with server monitoring refers to monitoring the HTTP headers sent from servers in order to detect any possible issues or errors with the server. The headers can provide information about the server, such as the type and version of server software, the date and time of the request, the response status code (successful or unsuccessful) and more. By analyzing the headers, system administrators can be alerted to any performance or security issues on the server.
